Members Of Kidnap Gang Arrested
Officers of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested nine members of a kidnap syndicate terrorizing Abeokuta Ayetoro road in Ogun state, Southwest Nigeria.
On Sunday April 24th, they were nabbed in their hideout at Abule Oba, off Ayetoro road, Abeokuta by Police working with local hunters, So Safe Corps, OPC, Vigilante and men of Amotekun corps.
The suspects were identified as Hammed Taiwo, Kehinde Jimoh, Umar Sanda, Sanda Aliu, Ali Morandu, Usman Abubakar, Usman Mohammed, Umaru Ahmadu and Umaru Momodu.
The police said that Hammed Taiwo and Kehinde Jimoh who are errand motorcycle riders to the kidnap syndicate were sighted somewhere in Rounder area of Abeokuta North local government.
Confirming their arrest, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesperson of the state police command said that some of their victims have been able to identify them as their abductors.
