ADAMAWA RERUN ELECTION:PDP Warns INEC AgainstRigging And Violence (Video)By Ibrahim Abubakar, Yola

Ahead of the Adamawa state rerun election this Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has Warned the electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Against Rigging And Violence during the exercise.

The Director General, PDP Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Adamawa, North East Nigeria, Auwal Tukur gave the warning at a Press Conference in Yola ahead of the elections in 78 polling units across Adamawa.

He says the party will not fold its arms and allow rigging and any violent posture to undermine the people’s vote and mandate during the exercise. He called for calm, engagement and participation of citizens during the exercise.

Tukur stressed that the PDP has won the election and will again win with this rerun, adding that the party is ready to use all necessary and available legal means to secure and maintain its mandate.

He thanked the people of Adamawa State for massively voting for PDP in all the 2023 elections as well as party members and Stateholders for playing their parts in the successful conduct of the polls across the state.

Contributing, the Secretary to the State Government SSG Bashiru Ahmad called on the people of Adamawa in the affected seventy eight polling units where the rerun will be conducted to come out and exercise their franchise.

He said the government will guarantee their safety and protect their mandate as well as ensure peaceful conduct of the polls that will give Governor Umaru Fintiri victory and returned elected on Saturday.
