The Nigeria Television Authority has announced that it will broadcast all African Cup of Nations 2023, AFCON matches after securing the exclusive broadcasting rights to the African Football showpiece.

On Wednesday, the announcement was made in a short statement on its X handle.

This is coming after Multichoice, the owners of DSTV and Super Sports, failed to win the rights for the highly desired football extravaganza like in previous years.

“NTA signs memorandum of understanding with Afro Ssportts for transmission of 52 matches of Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cot d’Ivoire,” the statement said.
This major deal ensures that every moment of the continental football spectacle will be shown on NTA.

The Africa Cup of Nations, often known as the TotalEnergies AFCON or just AFCON, is widely recognized as Africa’s premier international men’s association football competition.
