Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has announced that his administration will initiate the payment of gratuities to retirees in the State this week. The Governor intends to commence the payment of gratuities on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in conjunction with this year’s Workers Day on May 1, 2024.

Governor Uzodimma made this announcement on Sunday during a gathering at the Imo State Government Banquet Hall. The occasion was a surprise birthday lunch hosted by the Governor and his wife in honor of his Chief of Staff, Barrister Nnamdi Anyaehie.
During his address, Governor Uzodimma emphasized his commitment to leaving a remarkable legacy.
He expressed his aspiration to ensure that Imo State becomes self-sufficient in power generation, aligning with the visionary plan established by the late Governor Sam Mbakwe. This initiative aims to stimulate the State’s economy and promote sustainable growth.
