As the year 2024 begins, Nigerians, clerics, and other stakeholders are asking the Nigerian government to engage in youth development through engagement.

Here are some monitored 2024 Crossover Nights within the Ibadan metropolis, in the South West of Nigeria.

As soon as the clock ticked midnight, the joyful noise of the new year accompanied by the display of fireworks filled the air across most worship centers, heralding the arrival of the year 2024.

Members of congregations expressed their gratitude and prayed to God for a fruitful year.

Foremost preacher Daniel Odukoya wants Nigerians to remain resolute in pursuing their goals for the new year.

Elsewhere, another clergyman Lukmon Adepoju called on the government to make good policies that will be a catalyst for good democracy.

Others appealed to the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to make the local government councils autonomous for meaningful development at the grassroots
