Reacting to the judgement, Ugochinyere who is the Chairman, House Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) says despite the obvious positions of law, the Tribunal did what it did. He blamed Governor Hope Uzodimma for the legal coup.

the PDP lawmaker said the governor, Hope Uzodinma will be held accountable.

The Tribunal had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to within 90 days, conduct a supplementary election in the constituency.
