Three persons were reported killed in in an early hours attack on Dabna Village in Dugwaba District, Hong local government in Adamawa State, North East Nigeria by suspected Boko Haram fighters.
Security personnel have been drafted to the area by the state Police command.
Confirming the attack, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, said the Commissioner of Police has given his men marching orders to trail and arrest masterminds of the ugly incident.
He warned that attacks on innocent souls would no longer be tolerated under whatsoever guise as the command holds the lives of citizens sacrosanct. He said unwarranted attitude would be strictly treated in accordance with extant laws.
He appealed for calm as the command is doing everything legally possible to detect and apprehend the suspects.
