No fewer than 8,500 patients have been treated as Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe conducted the 12th Medical Outreach in Ganye Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State.
The free medical outreach attracted hundreds of sick people within and outside Ganye, Toungo and Jada LGAs where they got healthcare services for various ailments and diseases.
The four-day outreach took place at General Hospital Ganye, Gangwari Ganye.
Speaking shortly after inspecting the health services rendered at the closing ceremony HRH Alh. Umaru Adamu Sanda, hailed Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe for his commitment and determination to improve the wellbeing of his constituents. He described the free medical outreach rendered by the Senator as the most basic need of humans.
The Royal Father said he was impressed with the way the Senator touched the livelihoods of his constituents; especially in areas of employment and healthcare service delivery.
The representative of the Lead Medical Consultant, Dr Kudan Kamshak, said that the medical team was able to treat 8,500 patients across the four days, hence exceeding the target of 8,000 to be treated. He added that about 7000 medical and reading glasses had been issued out to beneficiaries, over 260 cataract surgeries had been carried out, over 286 dental cases had been treated, 310 general surgeries carried out among others
