Gunmen have attacked a Police patrol team at Kolo-Ogbia road, Ogbia local Government Area of Bayelsa State, South South Nigeria.
Eons intelligence gathered that the attack took place on Tuesday. The gun men were reported to have stormed the community, shot sporadically in the air to scare everyone in the community
The armed gang’s motive, number of casualties as well as progress of investigations were still sketchy as at yesterday.
However, the Bayelsa State’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, officially confirmed the development to newsmen on Wednesday morning.
The Command has confirmed that one Police officer was injured in the incident and his rifle taken away by the criminals.
