Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike on Monday handed 100 bikes to Vigilance groups, the Police, Department of State Services( DSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC).
This came three months after the Bwari stakeholders’ security town hall meeting, where he vowed to provide security operatives with every necessary tool and gadget needed to fight crimes in the rural areas of FCT.
Wike while pledging that in a few weeks, vehicles equipped to fight crimes will also be distributed, also warned that the bikes must not be used within the city centre, but strictly in rural areas that have hard-to-reach communities.

The Minister further warned Area Council chairmen to ensure that the bikes were used for the purpose, otherwise, he would withdraw the bikes.
