Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has said that the company is not planning to increase its pump prices for Premium Motor Spirit, commonly referred to as petrol.

Speaking with State House correspondents today shortly after a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Mr Mele Kyari said the prices remain the same and queues at some fuel stations in some parts of the country is due to panic buying. He noted that Nigeria has over 1.4billion liters in stock.

He added that the Federal Government is addressing Oil Marketers’ challenges bothering on access to Foreign exchange.

The NNPCL GMD also debunked reports that the Federal Government has again reintroduced the payment of petrol subsidy.
