Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, a Nigerian Afrobeats singer has returned to Nigeria. DopeReporters gathered that he surrendered himself to the Lagos State Police Command to aid ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.
In a message sighted by DopeReporters he wrote:
” I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail”
The Police command Spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin in a post on X said ‘Naira Marley was in their custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.
Nigerian rapper and singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad died at 27. The cause of his death remains unknown.
Entertainment industry and fans were thrown into a state of mourning after reports confirmed his death.
