The Senator representing Anambra South, Ifeanyi Ubah has dumped the Young Progressives Party YPP for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio announced Ubah’s membership of the ruling party on the floor during Thursday’s plenary.
Senator Ubah, according to the Senate President, cited irreconcilable differences as reason for leaving the YPP.
Addressing newsmen shortly after plenary Senator Ubah explained that his decision is in the interest of his constituents.
Senator Ubah, was elected under the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in 2019 and re-elected under the YPP in the recently concluded 2023 General Election.
