Thousands of Muslims in Adamawa State, North East Nigeria converged on the Jimeta Central Jumma’at Mosque to observe the two congregational raka’ats prayer, joining the rest of the Muslims in the world to mark the 2023 eid el fitr sallah.
Correspondent Ibrahim Abubakar reports that observance of the prayers was presided over by the Imam of the Mosque, Moddibo Yaya Nasir and was successful, devoid of any challenge.
Ilustrious sons and daughters of the area participated.

In his sermon the Imam of the Mosque who presided over the prayers, Yaya Nasir Modibbo stressed the need for the faithful to fear Allah in all they do to receive his mercies and blessings even after the sacred month of Ramadan. He encouraged them to be prayerful always.
He was represented by the Deputy Imam of Jimeta Central Mosque, Ismaila Bamanga.
A cross section of indigenes of Jimeta shared their experiences on this year’s sallah and called for the collective efforts of the Government and the people to overcome the security challenges facing the country.
