President Buhari Acknowledges Deficit In Infrastructure Across Universities In Nigeria (Video) – By Ibrahim Abubakar, Yola

President Muhammadu Buhari says the federal government was aware of the infrastructural deficit facing the Universities in Nigeria.

This was made known at the graduation ceremony of Modibbo Adamawa University (MAU).

The president who was represented by Prof Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu urged University Lecturers to be creative so as to sustain their livelihood.

While speaking at the ceremony Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state congratulated the University for holding the ceremony and noted with appreciation that having Prof Abdullah Liman Tukur steering the affairs of the institution was indeed a great fortune for the country.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar the third, Alhaji Muhammad Indimi, former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna and Dahiru Bobbo attended the event and were awarded with honorary Doctorate Degrees of Law, Management, Sciences and Letters.

In an acceptance speech on behalf of the awardees, the Sultan of Sokoto went down memory lane on the history of the founder of Fombina Kingdom, Modibbo Adama. He thanked the varsity for finding them worthy of the awards.

The University graduated a total of 4,638 students with 63 first class at the 27th convocation ceremony for 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic sessions.

Others include 1,069 second class upper, 1,783 second class lower, 552 third class, 40 pass, 72 postgraduate diplomas, 480 masters and 80 Doctors of Philosophy.
