The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Rivers State, Basil Igwebueze has assured the people of a serene and hitch-free Sallah celebration.
Briefing the officers and men at the Command Headquarters of the NSCDC, Commandant Basil said based on the directive of the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the Command has deployed about 1650 personnel from various Departments and Units to provide adequate security before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Commandant directed all Area Commanders to supervise the Divisional Officers under their Senatorial Districts in order to stop all criminal activities and arrest anyone who constitutes a threat to the overall security of the state.
