Bandits who kidnapped a Nigerian student of Zamfara State College of Art and Science, ZACAS, Gusau, Umulkhairu Musa, and three other girls have threatened to marry them off if their families fail to pay ransoms within a week.

The girls were abducted along Birnin Magaji-Kaura Namoda Road on January 15, while returning from a wedding ceremony.

It was gathered that Miss Musa was preparing for her final year exams at ZACAS when she got abducted.

Her coursemates have since graduated from the institution while she remained in captivity.

In May, there was a video by the terrorists showing the girls pleading for rescue.

The terrorists were seen flogging and manhandling the girls while they wailed and cried profusely.

However, in a fresh video obtained on Saturday, the girls appealed to the Zamfara State governor, Dauda Lawal, to come to their rescue and prevent them from being married off to terrorists.

Ms Musa, who was the first to speak, said, “Dear parents, we are begging you in the name of God to come to our rescue. We are in a very terrible situation. We have spent 174 days in this forest, or approximately six Months. We are begging you in the name of God to rescue us.

Another captive who spoke with her eyes full of tears appealed to her family members to mobilise and meet the governor.

“Governor Dauda You are our last hope; please don’t allow them to marry us,” she sobbed.
