150 IDPs get free education in Adamawa

One hundred and fifty Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Adamawa state are to benefit from free education.

They are currently taking refuge in Damare Settlement in Girei Local Government Area of the state.

The Internally Displaced Persons’ school was launched in Girei by Bishop Stephen Mamza with enrollment of one hundred and fifty pupils as pioneer students.

Bishop Mamza, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese who doubles as the state Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN chairman urged parents to take advantage of the instruction and protect the facility because it is established for the benefit of their wards

According to him, the future is bright for the pupils despite the displacement by the insurgents.

He encouraged them to keep hope alive and work towards eradicating illiteracy
