The all-local assemblage of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) squad preparations, will roll into week two with Coach Wedson Nyirenda naming 28 players to report for duty on Sunday.
Nyirenda will welcome players from Zesco United who were unavailable for the first camp as the Chipolopolo heighten preparations for the December 21 first leg encounter against Mozambique in Maputo.
Zambia will host Mozambique in Ndola on December 28 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in a reverse fixture with the winner over two legs qualifying to the CHAN which will be hosted in Kenya/Tanzania/Uganda in February next year.
Nyirenda is being assisted by Beston Chambeshi, Moses Sichone and Stephen Mwansa.
Chintu Kampamba has been roped in as physical trainer while the team physician is Dr George Magwende.
The team will be in camp for three days before breaking for players to fulfill league fixtures.
In the final camp preceding the first leg encounter, Nyirenda is expected to trim his squad further but has indicated that the door is still open for top performers in the league to make the final cut.
