If Denise Richards can survive The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she can survive anything.
At least that’s what the Wild Things actress now realizes after competing on season three of Fox’s grueling reality competition series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
“It was an opportunity to do something I’ve never done before, very challenging and completely out of my comfort zone,” Deise exclusively told E! News. “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done and I was scared to death to do it. I actually passed on season two because I saw season one and I said ‘there’s no way.’ And then grateful they asked me for season three, but it was challenging.” (Watch E! News tonight, Jan. 7, at 11 p.m. for more of our sit-down with Denise.)
In fact, the 53-year-old revealed husband Aaron Pyphers and her daughters—Sami, 20, Lola, 19, and Eloise, 13— were “not very happy” when she told her family she signed on to attempt the show’s dangerous military-style training challenges.
“I had three weeks to train and I was in the gym every single day,” Denise explained. “My daughters were terrified. They did not want me to do it. They that I was maybe not gonna make it home.”
