Goalie Ahmed El-Shenawy of Pyramids FC stated that his team is fully prepared and ready for their difficult matchup with Espérance of Tunisia.
El-Shenawy, who was speaking at the pre-game news conference, acknowledged the challenge of the game and emphasised that Esperance is a formidable team with great talents that plays at home in front of their supporters.
But he confirmed that even though Pyramids is a relatively new club, they have excellent players with a lot of experience, which allows them to give it their all and try to win in Tunisia.
Pyramids will play Espérance in the third round of the CAF Champions League group stage on Saturday at 7:00 PM GMT at the Rades Olympic Stadium in Tunis.
El-Shenawy clarified that he had a bad cold that kept him out of the last game in Mali, but that he is now well and prepared for the encounter.
Since both teams presently have the same amount of points, he underlined that every member of the squad is ready to give it their all and that the team is committed to playing for victory and earning three points to win the group.
The goalie emphasised Esperance’s offensive power and their talented players.
He did, however, give Pyramids credit for his own skills, pointing out that the club has talented players at every position and can win in Tunisia.
“This is not my first trip to Tunisia, and I am well aware of the intensity and difficulty of matches there,” El-Shenawy continued.
He nevertheless reaffirmed that Pyramids is a formidable team that can win all three points.
El-Shenawy also disclosed that the team has studied a number of Esperance games and is aware of their advantages.
He emphasised how crucial it is to be completely focused until the very end in order to win the group’s top rank and advance as leaders.
