Although they are not the favourites to win the forthcoming Championship of African Nations (CHAN), Nduka Junior, the captain of the home-based Super Eagles, has stated that they will give it their all during the match.
In the qualifiers, the Nigerian squad defeated the Black Galaxies 3-1 on aggregate to clinch their qualification after losing out on previous editions.
“We are not the favourites; teams like Morocco, co-hosts Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda are the strong contenders,” Nduka said.
“We will respect our opponents, but we are not intimidated by any of them.”
“We will give our best, just as we did in the playoffs against Ghana.
“We are united, and we have quality players ready to represent the country at CHAN,” he added.
“This is an opportunity to showcase our talent and enhance our profiles,” Nduka concluded
