Sky Bet Championship side Watford have reportedly made a short-term loan proposal to Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho.
The English side aim to secure the forward for the remainder of the campaign.
Recall Iheanacho, 28, joined La Liga side Sevilla last summer but has struggled to make an impact, failing to score in nine league appearances for the Rojiblancos.
Concerns over the striker’s fitness have also raised questions about his long-term role at the club, prompting Sevilla to consider letting him leave during the January transfer window.
The Hornets are optimistic that a move to Vicarage Road could help Iheanacho rediscover the form that saw him shine during his time with Leicester City.
During his tenure at the King Power Stadium, Iheanacho scored 61 goals and provided 34 assists in 232 appearances, becoming a reliable attacking presence for the Foxes.
Watford are hopeful the Nigerian forward can replicate that success in the Championship as they push for promotion.
