Nigeria’s Flying Eagles reached the semi-final at the WAFU B U-20 Championship after a 2-1 victory over Cote d’Ivoire in their last group game on Thursday.
The Ivorians broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute, but Enyimba forward Clinton Jephta equalised for Nigeria shortly after.
Kparobo Arierhi scored the winning goal for Aliyu Zubairu’s side late in the game.
Nigeria will take on the Niger Republic in Saturday’s semi-finals.
Cote d’Ivoire will take on Ghana in the other semifinal fixture.
