VIDEO: Nigerians lament as Fuel Scarcity returns

Lengthy queues have returned to the few petrol outlets that sell the product in Africa’s largest economy. Many petrol stations were closed in the federal capital city of Abuja and many other states in Nigeria.

Thousands of commuters were stranded at various bus stops due to the scarcity of petrol required by commercial transporters to run their vehicles. Most filling stations in the affected areas are closed.
This led to an increase in transport fares in the affected states, as the few transporters who had petrol raised their rates.
It was said that the scarcity was due to a shortage in the supply of Petrol to the nation’s capital and other states.
