The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) met with leaders of political parties, preparatory to the conduct of Local Government Election in the state.
The Commission has fixed Saturday, July 13, 2024, for the conduct of the local government election following the expiration of the tenure of the former council leaders.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting in his office, the Chairman of the ADSIEC, Mohammed Umar revealed that the commission is working round the clock to ensure it delivers a credible election.
He disclosed that the electoral body has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the exercise adding that it has met with electoral officers and other stakeholders concerned.
He called on the electorate in Adamawa to come out and exercise their franchisee during the poll and appealed to all political parties to work with decorum as the election is not a do-or-die affair.
