Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down a January transfer to Manchester United, opting to remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season.
According to La Repubblica, the Nigerian international declined the opportunity to join the Premier League giants.
Osimhen, Serie A’s top scorer in the 2022/23 season, is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
While his contract with Napoli runs until June 2026, his release clause is set to drop to €75 million in the summer, a factor that has reportedly angered Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, who hoped for a lucrative permanent deal this month.
The 26-year-old forward has been in stellar form this season, recording 13 goals and five assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.
Despite the interest from Manchester United, Osimhen appears committed to finishing the season in Turkey.
