Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have successfully neutralized seven terrorists and recovered a cache of weapons during a raid on an Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram enclave in Gura Ba, Bama Local Government Area, Borno State.
According to intelligence sources, the operation was carried out on February 4, 2025, as part of Operation Hadin Kai under the ongoing Operation Desert Sanity IV/Diligence Search.
Zagazola Makama reports that during the mission, troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce encounter, eliminating seven insurgents, while others managed to escape. The operation resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition, including: Two AK-47 rifles, four RPG bombs, 920 rounds of 12.7 x 108mm armor-piercing (AP) belted ammunition, six rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 14 rounds of 5.6mm ammunition, one Dane gun, one metal and prototype pistol.
Sources confirmed that there were no casualties among the troops involved in the operation.
