Looking to the future, Scheana shared her hopes for James to work on improving himself in the wake of his arrest.
“I do hope James views this as a rock bottom moment and is serious about committing to a healing plan versus just seeing this as something that’s going to ruin the world tour or residency or whatever,” she said. “He needs to get help, and not just to prevent Ally or some other girl to being subjected to abusive behavior in the future, but to give himself a chance to live life with healthy relationships. I know he wants those things for himself and he needs to give himself the proper tools to deal with his trauma that doesn’t involve projecting it onto others.
In the end, Scheana stated of Ally, “I want her to know that she is supported.”
As for James, he spoke out on the matter with a message about self-betterment one week after the incident.
“I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life,” the 32-year-old wrote on his Instagram Story Dec. 17. “I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for loved ones. Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”
And as for Ally, she acknowledged all the support she’s received from fans during this difficult time.

Swedish rapper Gaboro was reportedly shot and killed in a parking lot in Norrkoping on Thursday, December 19, according to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
A graphic video allegedly capturing the killing has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage.
The 19-second clip, filmed from a first-person perspective, shows a man approaching another individual near a white SUV with a gun. The assailant fires multiple shots, causing the victim to collapse while pleading, “I beg you” in Swedish. The gunman then fires additional shots, leaving the victim motionless.
Authorities have not confirmed the video’s authenticity or its connection to Gaboro’s alleged murder. Police were alerted to the shooting at 8:27 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man in his 20s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
While the police have not officially identified the victim, they stated that the individual was known to them. Mats Pettersson, a spokesperson for the police in the East region, commented, “It is a man in his 20s, we know who he is and we have a good knowledge of him from before.”
Gaboro, a rising star in Sweden’s music scene, reportedly had ties to criminal networks. This tragic incident adds to the growing list of Swedish artists targeted in the country’s escalating gang violence.
Police are continuing their investigation into the murder, which has intensified concerns about the surge in violent crime linked to gang conflicts in Sweden.

“He was just going to the gym and doing his thing, but I could just tell he was a little low,” she told Us Weekly Dec. 3., adding that James was in a state of “grieving.”
“I think he was just like, ‘Wow, that was crazy,'” she added. “It was just an insane part of his life and such an important part of his life. I think he’s so proud—I know he’s so proud—of where he’s at now compared to where he started the show. So, I think it’s just gratitude and looking back and going, ‘Holy s–t. We just did that, and now we can move on.’”

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration in Lagos State has announced a partnership with 16 traditional rulers to strengthen advocacy against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the state.
According to reports, this initiative by the State’s Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) aligns with the 202416 Days of Activism to Eliminate Gender-Based Violence, which began on November 25.

She explained that the selection of the 16 kingdoms was based on data-driven analysis, targeting areas with high incidences of violence, low case reporting, and limited engagement throughout the year.
“To mark this year’s international day, the agency is partnering with the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption programme with support from the European Union and implemented by the International IDEA to engage 16 Traditional Rulers in the state to assist in the advocacy.
“We are also using these events to spotlight 16 traditional rulers in the state for their support in the fight against SGBV,” she said.
The Oniwaya of Iwaya Kingdom, Oba Suleiman Owolabi Oloko, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration and other sponsors for making his kingdom the starting point of the 16-day campaigns.

Sexual violence against women and girls of all ages is rampant in war-torn Sudan, including rape, gang rape, forced marriages and sexual slavery.
A new United Nations report found that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia is using sexual violence as a deliberate tactic “intending to terrorize civilians.”
“The majority of rape and sexual and gender-based violence was committed by the RSF,” the report, published on October 29 by the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission for the Sudan, stated. “[It’s] part of a pattern aimed at terrorizing and punishing civilians for perceived links with opponents and suppressing any opposition to their advances.”
Mission Chair Mohamed Chande Othman said women and girls in territories under RSF control are victims of what amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
“The sheer scale of sexual violence we have documented in Sudan is staggering,” the Tanzanian lawyer said in a statement. “The situation faced by vulnerable civilians, in particular women and girls of all ages, is deeply alarming and needs urgent address.”
Since fighting began in April 2023, Sudan’s brutal civil war between the army and the RSF has killed tens of thousands of people and forced more than 14 million people to flee their homes in the world’s largest displacement crisis. The U.N. report revealed a pattern of gender-based violence by the RSF as its fighters have advanced in several Sudanese states, particularly in Khartoum, Darfur and El Gezira.
Several women have taken their lives in central El Gezira state after being raped by RSF fighters, according to rights groups and activists.
“The RSF started a revenge campaign in areas under the control of [former RSF general] Abu Kayka,” Hala al-Karib, head of the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (Siha), told the BBC. “They looted, killed civilians who were resisting and raped women and little girls.”
While documenting gender-based violence in Sudan over the course of one week in late October, Siha confirmed three cases of suicide by female victims of sexual violence in El Gezira state, Karib said.
According to the U.N. report, sexual violence also has taken place during attacks on shelters for internally displaced people and on civilians fleeing the fighting. The report said that the RSF committed sexual crimes “with particular cruelty” in western Darfur, including the use of “firearms, knives and whips to intimidate or coerce the victims while using derogatory, racist or sexist slurs and death threats.”
“First-hand sources informed of rape of girls as young as 8 years and women as old as 75,” the report stated.
Although the Sudanese Armed Forces also has been accused of sexually abusing civilians, the U.N. report said that the RSF was responsible for “sexual violence on a large scale.” It also said the RSF and allied Arab militias have carried out “abduction, recruitment and use of children in hostilities.”
Nigerian scholar and advocate Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, one of the U.N. fact-finding mission’s three experts, said the RSF is destroying lives with impunity and must be held accountable. “These women, girls, boys and men in Sudan who are increasingly exposed to sexual and gender-based violence need protection,” she said in a statement. “Without accountability the cycle of hatred and violence will carry on.”
Othman said the situation continues to deteriorate and underscores the need for urgent protection of civilians.
“Ways must be found to create conditions for the immediate deployment of an independent protection force,” he said. “There is no safe place in Sudan now.”

Wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, has said she will continue to defend the girl child and fight Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the state.
She stated this in Abakaliki, the state capital, when she led a road walk on Tuesday to mark the 2024 Ebonyi Women’s Day Celebration with the theme “Uplifting Women for Sustainable Development.”
She called on the people to report any form of abuse against the girl child, women, and children to her office for necessary action.
“I want to assure every member of Ebonyi State that we will continue to defend them, especially the girl child and our boy child.
“We are fighting against gender-based violence. Ebonyi women are against any form of maltreatment, be it in the home or anywhere.
“So, if you know someone who is going through any form of maltreatment, any form of abuse, don’t hesitate to call on us. We are mothers, and we are ready to fight against the abuses.
“We are ready to fight the perpetrators of these abuses and bring them to judgment. We have lawyers, and we are going to prosecute anyone who maltreats women, children, and girls,” she stated.
The First Lady implored women to value themselves in society by making something of themselves.

After more than 18 months, Sudan’s war appears to be descending into a nationwide ethnic conflict, according to a group of Sudanese peace advocates.
“Both sides have dangerously escalated their war narratives, fueling ethnically charged rhetoric that mobilizes communities along ethnic and regional lines,” the Advocacy Group for Peace in Sudan (AGPS) said in a public statement.
The group has warned of rising tribal loyalty and resentment in key regions of the country, especially in the Butana Plains and eastern Sudan as well as the Darfur and Kordofan regions, Nile River and Northern states.
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have attacked communities in areas controlled by their opponents: Darfur, Kordofan and el-Gezira in the case of the SAF, and eastern el-Gezira in the case of the RSF. The attacks have killed civilians, increased displacement and damaged infrastructure.
According to Radio Dabanga, the RSF’s attacks in el-Gezira state happened after Abu Agla Keikil, a local commander, defected to the SAF along with some of his troops. Residents of the el-Butana area of southeast Sudan have warned of severe retaliation by the RSF, raising the prospect of a deadly cycle of vengeance.
The ongoing attacks are pushing local leaders to call for targeting communities associated with the SAF and RSF to seek revenge.
“This alarming escalation risks tipping the conflict into a catastrophic phase of tribal and regional alignment, threatening widespread massacres and an immense human tragedy,” the AGPS said.
In April 2023, the SAF and RSF turned Sudan into a war zone as their leaders, SAF Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, de facto leader of the country, and Gen. Mohamed Hamdan “Hemedti” Dagalo, head of the RSF, launched a battle to control the country.
The RSF quickly swept through southern Sudan from Darfur in the west to Sennar in the east, while the SAF consolidated control of the northern and northeastern regions, effectively splitting the country.
In recent months, the SAF has taken back key areas, including parts of Omdurman in the capital region. It also has held North Darfur, thanks to an alliance with Darfur-based militias the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM), which united earlier this year to form the Sudanese Joint Force to confront the RSF in western Sudan.
The two militias took a neutral position at the start of the SAF-RSF conflict, choosing to defend their communities in Darfur from all assaults. As the RSF conquered most of Darfur, leaving chaos and disaster in its wake, SLM and JEM sided with the national military.
The rise of the non-Arab Sudanese Joint Force as a counter to the Arab-based RSF broadly reflects the ethnic divisions in the Darfur region and, more broadly, across Sudan as a whole.
Sudan is a mix of 500 ethnic groups that include the ethnic Arabs that dominate the population, along with non-Arab groups such as the Nuba in the south, and the Fur, Masalit and Zaghawa that are rooted in Darfur.
The war has worsened the ethnic fragmentation that has plagued Sudan for more than 50 years. In the process, the war has transformed into multiple small wars as armed militias ally themselves with the SAF or the RSF.
“Communities that were once living in peace have now taken up arms to defend themselves from the RSF, marking a significant departure from the past,” the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data organization (ACLED) wrote in a recent report on Sudan.
The AGPS has warned that the ethnic violence risks sending Sudan on a path toward genocide similar to the one that took place in Rwanda 30 years ago.
“The warring factions and agitators must be held accountable for the genocidal crimes starkly looming on the horizon,” the group said in a statement. “Sudan stands on the brink.”
