The search for Eliza Huszti and Henrietta Huszti continues.
Police announced Jan. 29 that they have called off the river search for the Hungary-native sisters, both 32. The update comes over three weeks after the women—who are part of a set of triplets—vanished after being last seen just after 2 a.m. local time Jan. 7 on Market Street at the Victoria Bridge in Aberdeen, Scotland.
“Extensive and detailed searches have been carried out of the River Dee and the Harbour area,” local superintendent David Howieson said in a statement obtained by People, “using local and national specialist police resources, including the dive and marine unit, police dogs and air support, and those of partner agencies.”
Howieson added that “these searches have now concluded at this time, but inquiries will be ongoing to trace Eliza and Henrietta.”
The superintendent went on to share that the “investigation continues,” with search efforts focused on other areas.
“Coastal areas, both north and south of Aberdeen city, will continue to be searched and any further information received by police will be acted upon,” he said. “I would again stress there is nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or criminality.”
