The official Fifa Club World Cup Trophy has been unveiled by Fifa and will be raised for the first time at the tournament next year, which will take place from Sunday, June 15, to Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 12 top-notch venues spread across 11 host cities in the United States.
The inaugural Fifa Club World Cup winners, who will be announced following the final at MetLife Stadium in New York, New Jersey, will receive the new trophy, which was created by FIFA and made in partnership with the world-renowned luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co.
“Innovative, inclusive, groundbreaking, and truly global, the new 32-team Fifa Club World Cup deserves a trophy that represents all of this,” stated Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA.
It is a timeless and distinguished golden trophy that is both inspired by the past and represents the future.
“The team who lift this trophy will hold the world of club football in their hands.
“To the players who win it, history belongs to you! Let’s take it to the world and celebrate it as we look forward to the start of a new era for football when the one and only Fifa club world champions lift the Fifa Club World Cup Trophy in New York New Jersey on 13 July 2025.”
“With a 160-year history, Tiffany & Co. has created some of the most iconic championship trophies in history, setting the standard for craft and design,” continued Anthony Ledru, president and chief executive officer of Tiffany & Co.
The next phase in our lengthy tradition of producing the most cherished emblems of sports excellence worldwide is the Fifa Club World Cup Trophy. An emblem of the future that draws inspiration from the past.
The Fifa Club World Cup Trophy has a 24-carat gold-plated finish and elaborate laser-engraved inscriptions on both sides that depict the rich history of football through text and images.
The names of all 211 FIFA Member Associations and the six confederations, as well as a global map, are included in the inscriptions to symbolise the many geographical and cultural backgrounds of the beautiful game.
A world map and images of stadiums and equipment are among the many motifs that depict football’s history on the trophy’s central disc.
In order to further emphasise the inclusive nature of the international game and guarantee that the tournament’s legacy is available to a wide range of audiences worldwide, the trophy also has engravings in 13 languages and Braille.
For 24 tournament editions, there is room to laser-engrave the victorious clubs’ emblems.
Additionally, the award can change from a shield to a multipurpose, orbiting structure, a versatile design that creates a strong visual framework.
Astronomy, the periodic table, and maps of early expeditions all contributed to the trophy’s conception, as did the renowned Voyager Golden Records, which were carried on NASA’s Voyager deep-space missions in the 1970s.
The trophy honours the sport’s history and future by including celestial symbols that depict the approximate locations of planets on Saturday, May 21, 1904, when Fifa was founded in Paris, France, and on June 15, 2025, when the tournament opened in Miami, USA.
The trophy is etched with an inspirational inscription for the winners, which reads:
“To those who wield this trophy, history belongs to you! You are present at what is considered the apex of club football, which is celebrated by many but awarded to few.
“These remarks celebrate historical legends and serve as an inspiration to teams around the world, reflecting the trophy’s standing as a symbol of greatness.
Following the final, the winners of each edition will be given a replica of the Fifa Club World Cup Trophy with engravings commemorating their victory.
With official nameplates bearing club insignia and dates of triumph, this authentic Fifa Club World Cup Winner’s Trophy is identical to the everlasting trophy in terms of design, structure, and size.
When Fifa hosts the tournament’s draw in Miami, USA, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, the Fifa Club World Cup Trophy will be physically given to the world.
