Leanna Lenee has had enough of the drama.
The fiancée of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter has spoken out in an eight-minute video about the negative attention she’s received on the internet in recent weeks.
Leanna—who got engaged to the University of Colorado Boulder football star in February—revealed that she spoke to Travis beforehand about publicly clearing her name.
As the 23-year-old told the camera in a video posted to TikTok Dec. 16, “I got permission from Travis to say these things.”
Leanna got emotional as she recalled the events on Dec. 14 at the Heisman Trophy ceremony, which led to the internet speculating that she wasn’t happy for her fiancé as he was presented with college football’s highest honor.
More specifically, social media users took an issue with Leanna seemingly having to be told to stand up and celebrate Travis by his coach Deion Sanders, also known as “Coach Prime.”
“When his name was called, I instantly was going to get up,” Leanna said in the TikTok. “If you watch the video, his mom didn’t get up, so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I don’t get up, I just sit here.’”
