Meg Ryan’s daughter Daisy True Ryan ended up in a rainy city of her own.
Indeed, the Sleepless in Seattle actress—who also shares son Jack Quaid, 32, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid—recently shared a…

“Yes, it’s different,” he said. “When I was a kid, you would just suck it up, get out of the house and be back by sundown, which I just can’t even imagine now.”
But the 48-year-old has certainly made sure to take a different approach to parenting than his own dad, with whom Ryan had a “slightly complicated relationship.”
“Even though I may have an instinct when my kid is acting out or telling me I’m the worst,” he told People in August, “my father’s instinct would be to shut that kid off. My dad would retreat into the power of silence, and that is not the way to acknowledge your kid.”
Instead, Ryan makes sure to “get down on their level” and tell them “I believe them and that I’m here for them.
“I’m willing to sit here and hear them out,” he shared, “and feel whatever they’re going through.”
Read on to see more of what Ryan and Blake have said about parenting their kids.
Jenn Tran & Devin Strader
Status: Split
During the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette, it looked like The Bachelor alum Jenn Tran was finally getting her happy ending with her final pick Devin Strader. But Jenn, 26, revealed on After the Final Rose back in September that Devin, 28, gave her the cold shoulder as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.
“He was making bold proclamations of love and then suddenly the next day he was like, nothing and he denied ever being in love,” Jenn told host Jesse Palmer during the Sept. 3 episode. “All the promises he had made to me, all of the love that he had wanted to give to me wasn’t there anymore.”
Drama continued to play out when Devin shared a 13-minute video recounting his side of the story to Instagram, where in addition to taking “accountability” he shared insight into why he ended the relationship in a 15-minute phone call.
While Jenn alleged he dumped her during the call in August, he claimed that Jenn demanded to know what was wrong as he tried to find a way to break the news in person.
“I didn’t really know what else to do,” he explained, noting he had been waiting to tell her in person. “She kind of forced my hand.”
Since then, Jenn waltzed over to Dancing With the Stars and possibly into the heart of her partner Sasha Farber as they have continued to spark romance rumors since their Oct. 29 elimination.
Scheana Shay has no cruel intentions toward Ryan Phillippe.
In fact, the Vanderpump Rules star considered the I Know What You Did Last Summer alum to be a friend when she was in her early 20s. According to Scheana, her roommate at the time was dating Jesse Bradford, who she said was in a “boys group” with Ryan and Breckin Meyer.
“Every Thursday, they would do a boy’s dinner and then go out to the club,” she explained on the Dec. 13 episode of her Scheananigans podcast. “And so, we were like, ‘Well, we’re just gonna do a girl’s dinner since we were only invited to the club.'”
This led to Scheana and her gal pal becoming regulars at the famed Los Angeles restaurant Dan Tanas, where she would “literally have one glass of wine and split a pasta” since she “could not afford the full entrée” at the time.
“It was iconic,” Sheana, now 39, quipped. “Sometimes, I’m surprised at how much I remember from those years because I feel like there’s also years of my life where I have no memories.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Details Shooting Mom With BB Gun, Being Chained to Bed in Chilling Book
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is sharing why she divorced Ryan Anderson.
Seven months after announcing her separation from the middle school teacher, the former inmate—who is currently pregnant with her and boyfriend Ken Urker’s first baby—confirmed their divorce has been finalized while also detailing when she realized it was time to leave Ryan.
Gypsy, 33, explained to People in an interview published Dec. 9 that in March, the pair had an intense argument that prompted her to have her “first shock” of realizing “holy crap, I’m married.”
“It’s kind of like, ‘OK, well, you know that you’re settling,” Gypsy noted, “that you’re kind of pushing on to just do what everybody else does in life, but you’re just settling.”
While the 33-year-old—who tied the knot with Ryan in June 2022, while she was still behind bars for her part in the murder of her mom Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard—explained the former couple had settled their financial disagreements in court, she was hoping to end their relationship on good terms.
“I’ve spent many hours with them, like in pajamas just hanging out in their house with their nine hundred children and dogs and it is just as normal as can be,” Hugh—who shares son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 19, with ex Deborra-lee Furness—told Vogue in August of Ryan and Blake. “And Blake will be baking and cooking and saying, ‘Let’s make pizza,’ and then the next thing you turn around, and there she is, this incredible star. It’s…it’s astonishing to me.”
But fatherhood wasn’t always so simple for Ryan, whose own father passed away nearly 10 years ago after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. While the IF actor’s relationship with his father, James Chester Reynolds, wasn’t perfect, he’s been able to use their experiences as learning opportunities for his own parenting style.
Ryan Seacrest Reveals If He Had First Day Jitters on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ (Exclusive)
Ryan Seacrest is no longer feeling 29.
After the Wheel of Fortune host shared earlier this fall that he had been feeling as healthy as ever as he faced turning 50 in December, he admitted that a subsequent injury has kept him from maintaining his past prime.
“That changed since I said that,” Ryan said in an exclusive interview with E! News at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball holiday special. “Now I have tendonitis. So it’s just it’s all going the wrong direction. As soon as I say that, put that in the universe, it all goes backwards.”
And while the 49-year-old was once feeling as fit as a fiddle, he noted, “Now I feel 50 and I’m not yet.” (For more from Ryan and other stars on the Jingle Ball red carpet, tune into E! News tonight, Dec. 9, at 11 p.m.)
The American Idol host may have overdone his healthy living—as he previously explained on Entertainment Tonight that he was feeling younger than 30 by “over-exercising, eating better,” and “over-training.”
Tusker striker Ryan Ogam has been awarded Player of the Month for October and November in recognition of his impressive goal-scoring form.
Ogam has netted seven goals in just six matches, making him the current joint top scorer in the FKF Premier League. The accolade was determined by votes from teammates, coaches, and staff members, with Ogam emerging victorious over fellow finalists Shaphan Siwa, Charles Momanyi, and George Kaddu.
“I am thrilled to receive this award—it means a great deal to me,” Ogam said. “I owe this achievement to my teammates, as I couldn’t have reached this point without their support. The coaches have also been instrumental in my progress. This recognition motivates me to continue working hard and scoring more goals.”
Ogam, who joined Tusker FC at the start of the season from the now-defunct Rainbow FC, was presented with the award during a luncheon organized by the club’s management at the Utalii Hotel in Nairobi.
‘Wicked’ Costume Designer Reveals Secrets About Glinda’s Gowns, Elphaba’s Hat & More! (Exclusive)
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are dancing through life one date night at a time.
The couple stepped out in New York City Dec. 3 for a special screening of Wicked alongside the big screen musical’s stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, where Blake appeared to channel Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz with her fashion.
Blake, 37, arrived to the screening wearing shimmering red shoes, an homage to the iconic ruby red slippers from the 1939 film. Much like the iconic heroine—who was famously portrayed by Judy Garland—the rest of the It Ends with Us star’s ensemble followed a white and blue color scheme, including her Chanel handbag.
Meanwhile, Ryan, 48, seemingly gave a stylish nod of his own to the Hollywood classic, pairing a beige corduroy shirt jacket and matching pants with tan-colored suede loafers—not unlike the Cowardly Lion who accompanies Dorothy down the Yellow Brick Road.
1. The show’s fictional Stars Hollow—which has gone on to become one of TV’s most beloved settings—was inspired by Amy Sherman-Palladino‘s unexpected visit to Washington, Conn. Charmed by the people she met, traditions she witnessed and the inn she stayed at, she left the small town with the concept for the series—including some of the pilot’s dialogue.
“If I can make people feel this much of what I felt walking around this fairy town,” Sherman-Palladino told Deseret News, “I thought that would be wonderful.”
2. Alexis Bledel had only one uncredited acting role on her resume and was a student at New York University when she auditioned for Rory.
“I was very sick, I was a student at NYU, and they kept calling me back up to audition,” Bledel recalled during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “I think I went, like, six times. Oddly, I wasn’t a very seasoned actor at all. I didn’t know the process. I grew a tad bit impatient. I had a little attitude and our boss really liked that a lot. She was like, ‘That’s our girl!’ I was like, ‘Are you guys going to bring me back again?’ and she was like, ‘I like that, that’s perfect.'”
Bathé and Brown’s life together started in the fall of 1994, when they met at Stanford University and became friends. After a decade-long on-again, off-again romance, they cemented their relationship in 2004 and tied the knot two years later. The pair then welcomed son Andrew in 2011 followed by his younger brother Amaré in 2015.
As Brown and Bathé continue to grow as a couple, they’re taking their fans along for the ride—sharing how they can disagree and still love each other on their podcast (with new episodes dropping Wednesdays).
“Anybody’s relationship from the outside can appear to be ‘perfect,’ ‘goals,’ et cetera, et cetera,” the Emmy winner noted. “I think Ryan and I were interested in, ‘Listen, there is effort that is extended on a daily basis to ensure that we keep choosing each other. Sometimes it can look messy, sometimes it can be a bit more fluid. There’s ebbs and flows, crests and troughs to the whole thing.’”
And Brown hopes this gives listeners a “full picture” of who he and Bathé are as a couple.
“If people wanted to give us goals for anything,” he continued, “then hopefully they get the chance to peek behind the veil a little bit and be like, ‘Oh, OK. It is goals, but it is also work.'”
However, you don’t have to put in the work to see more sweet photos of Brown and Bathé—just keep scrolling.
Eva Mendes is crazy, stupid in love with her family’s new addition.
The Fast & Furious alum shared that she and her partner of 13 years Ryan Gosling recently rescued a new dog from California Doodle Rescue—and they’ve already fallen head over heels with their furry friend.
“Meet the newest member of our family,” Eva wrote in a Nov. 25 Instagram post. “Magic!!! We adopted her from this amazing organization.”
And the 50-year-old even provided a glimpse of the black, long-haired pup’s sweet personality by accompanying the announcement with a video of them posing together in various locations at a park. At one point, Eva sat on a bench while Magic adorably rested his head on a yoga mat beneath her.
And if one video wasn’t enough for her furry pal to win over everyone’s heart, Eva promised to continue showcasing Magic on her page, writing, “I’m crazy about her and excited to share life with Magic with you.”
Ryan Reynolds Comments on Taylor Swift’s Role as Godmother to His Kids With Blake Lively
T.J. Miller has no bad blood with his Deadpool costar Ryan Reynolds.
Two years after saying that he would never work with Ryan again, the Silicon Valley alum shared insight on his current relationship with the Marvel actor, with whom he costarred in 2016’s Deadpool and 2018’s Deadpool 2.
“We talked a little while ago,” T.J. said on SiriusXM’s The Bonfire Nov. 12, per Entertainment Weekly. “He’s just been such a good friend right now.”
So, does that mean he is open to teaming up with Ryan on a future Deadpool? The 43-year-old—whose Weasel character did not appear in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine—added, “That would be awesome.”
The update comes two years after T.J. accused Ryan of ragging on him while reshooting a Deadpool 2 scene. Calling it a “really weird moment,” T.J. said that Ryan—while filming as the character of Deadpool—was “horrifically mean” during the shoot.
Ryan Reynolds is providing more insight into friend Taylor Swift‘s relationship to his kids.
After the “Cruel Summer” singer revealed that she’s their godmother, the Deadpool star clarified which of his and Blake Lively‘s four children—daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin, born in 2023—she is a godparent to.
Ryan told Deadline in an interview published Nov. 13, “She is the godparent to my daughters.”
The Free Guy actor went on to share that he was honored Taylor shouted out her special role in his family on social media, quipping, “I need that one on my gravestone actually.”
And it’s not lost on Ryan that the Grammy winner’s Instagram message—which also praised his and Hugh Jackman‘s work on their film Deadpool & Wolverine—reached a lot of people, considering she currently has over 273 million followers on the platform.
“That was very sweet,” he added before joking, “Not just sweet—you can probably quantify a box office based on Taylor just doing something like that.”
Keke Palmer has a bit of her own horror story about working with Ryan Murphy.
The 31-year-old recalled an alleged incident she had with the producer while working on his series Scream Queens. In her latest book Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative, Keke reflected on a time she had a schedule conflict that spiraled into a larger issue.
Keke writes, per the Los Angeles Times, that she made plans to honor another project on her day off from shooting Scream Queens. However, when production told her she would be needed on set and Keke chose to honor that project, she says Ryan “ripped” into her and called her “unprofessional.”
“It was kind of like I was in the dean’s office,” she said of the moment in an interview with the Los Angeles Times published on Nov. 11. “He was like, ‘I’ve never seen you behave like this. I can’t believe that you, out of all people, would do something like this.’”
