Kylie Jenner, Timothee Chalamet & More Couples Turning the 2025 Golden Globes Into a PDA-Date Night
Kylie Jenner is bringing the shine to the 2025 Golden Globes.
The Kardashians star shimmered in a vintage silver chainmail Atelier Versace dress from the brand’s Spring 1999 collection as she attended the Jan. 5 award show with boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture—Drama for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown.
The dress was on full display as Kylie snapped a selfie with Timothée’s costars Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro, who were seated with the couple for the ceremony.
Of course, Timothée brought his own signature style to the occasion as well, as the fashion-forward star accented his black suit with a wraparound blue necktie as he walked the red carpet.
While Kylie—who shares kids Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2, with ex Travis Scott—opted to skip the carpet, the reality star showed her support for the Dune actor as the two sat together in the audience during the ceremony. In fact, she even let some giggles slip as host Nikki Glaser roasted Timothée’s new mustache, dubbing the facial hair “the most gorgeous eyelashes on your upper lip.”

The Information and Public Relations Officer of the university, Abba A. Massa, confirmed that the incident occurred on Wednesday.
He said several students sustained various degrees of injuries and were evacuated to Umaru Shehu Hospital, Maiduguri and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
“The students, a male final-year student and a female part-two student, lost their lives when a truck belonging to Dangote, traveling at high speed, lost control and ran into the BOSU students’ bus while they were on their way home after their semester exams,” the statement said.
According to the statement, BOSU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babagana Gutti, the Head of Service of Borno State, Barrister Malam Fannami, the Registrar of BOSU, Zanna Mustapha Kashim, and some management staff were also present through the night to provide necessary support to the victims.
In a show of solidarity and empathy, a bus full of BOSU students also came to sympathize with their colleagues and donate blood, which was critically needed to save the lives of their classmates and schoolmates.
The statement further said that the two deceased students would be buried on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
A bomb explosion has claimed lives and caused injuries in Zamfara State.
The incident occurred along the Gusau-Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the explosive device, reportedly planted by bandits, detonated on a busy section of the road.
The attack was directed at travellers and residents in the area.
This was made known on Wednesday by Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counterterrorism and insurgency expert, in a post on his X handle.
Makama stated that the incident, the second bomb explosion on the route, signals a dangerous shift in the tactics employed by bandits operating in Zamfara.
He stated that the use of explosives introduces a new level of insecurity in the region.
“Traditionally known for their activities such as kidnapping, cattle rustling, and armed attacks, the use of explosives introduces a new level of insecurity in the region,” the security expert noted.
Members of the Esan West Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are divided over the list of commissioner-nominees.
DAILY POST reports that in a protest letter dated November 21, 2024, addressed to the State Governor, Monday Okpebholo through the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Musa Umar Ikhilor, the petitioners opined that the list submitted to the governor do not reflect the five kingdoms that make up the local government.
The petition titled, “Re: Nomination of five names from Esan West Local Government” was written by the party’s leaders from the ten wards in the locality.
They listed the five kingdoms as Ekpoma, Idoa, Ogwa, Ujogba, and Egoro.
They alleged that the nomination was done by Mr. Thomas Okosun, the former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly and one-time State chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and Mr. David Imuse, the former state chairman of APC.
The petitioners also alleged that the nomination was done without consulting the leadership of the party in the local government as done in other Local Government Areas in the state.
The signatories to the petition are Chief Edwin Ogieriakhi, Chief Saturday Ogbeide, Hon. Abu Momodu, Mr. Visly Udaze, Chief Festus Ozoba, Mr. Wesley Oran, Mr. Sam Akhigbe, Chief Ikpea Ojie, Joe Aise Aisdion and Hon. Monday Ehighawa.
They also alleged that two of the nominees included a female, simply identified as Mrs Ogbidi, a wife to chairman of the party, while the other nominee, Pastor Odigie is a pastor in Thomas Okosun’s Church.
While noting that the selection of the nominees does not reflect the spread in the Local Government, they opined that it was contrary to the usual practice when one person was being nominated from each of the kingdoms.
According to the petitioners, “we the concerned leaders of Esan West Local Government wish to register our protest against the list of commissioner nominees from Esan West Local Government.
“Firstly, the nomination was done by Mr. Thomas Okosun and Mr. Imuse without consulting the leadership of the Local Government as it was done in other Local Governments.
“Secondly, the list is made up of his relations and friends. For example, the female in the list is Mrs. Ogbidi the party chairman’s wife and Mr. Governor’s greatest critic, while Pastor Odigie is Thomas Okosun’s church pastor.
“Also, the selection did not reflect the spread in the Local Government as Esan West is made up of 5 kingdoms namely, Ekpoma, Idoa, Ogwa, Ujogba, and Egoro.
“Our usual practice is to select one nominee from each of the kingdoms but in this case, all the nominees are from Ekpoma kingdom.”
The party leaders, who posited that the list was capable of bringing division within the party in the locality, called on Governor Okpebholo to set aside the list for the sake of justice.

Home owners of Ruga, a settlement along Airport Road, Abuja, took to the streets on Friday to protest the demolition of their homes by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
According to reports, Wike had previously ordered a task force, “Operation Sweep,” to demolish Ruga and other communities within the nation’s capital to clear the city of perceived nuisances and criminal activities.
Leading the demonstration, renowned lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju, along with Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, said the demolition was carried out with malicious intent.
Adeyanju expressed concern, stating that the task force burned many houses and destroyed property worth millions of naira.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to consider the plight of poor people who had been driven from their homes in Borno and other northern states due to insecurity in the region.
Adeyanju said: “There is no justification for this demolition. We are using this medium to appeal to the president to consider the plight of the displaced residents, who are barely surviving.
“Most of the residents here were forced out of their homes in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe due to insecurity.
“Most of them are artisans trying to make a living. These demolitions are excessive, and Mr President needs to act to prevent further harassment of the people.
“We are sounding a warning to those in government that peace is only achievable if the poor are allowed to live peacefully. When the poor cannot sleep, it affects everyone.
“Tinubu should call Wike to order and stop him from demolishing people’s homes and reallocating the land to rich people.
“There is no justification for demolishing these homes and allocating them to the rich. There is no overriding public interest here because the community is far from the main road.”
On his part, Otse stated: “This is strange. The repercussions of this will have a heavy toll on Abuja. This area that has been demolished is not near the main road. These people have been rendered homeless amid the ongoing hardship in the country.
“They are evicting these people without compensating them. It is sad that the elite think the poor are not part of society.”
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State has left members and stakeholders in a state of confusion with two persons laying claim to the party’s chairmanship seat in the Sapele chapter of the party.
While many expressed fears that the controversy may tear the party apart, others are concerned over the implications of the crisis on the party’s chances in future elections.
The crisis started on Wednesday August 7th 2024, when two separate factions of the party held parallel congresses, each producing a different chairman.
The incumbent chairman of the party in Sapele, Chief Godwin Dadi, was re-elected by one faction, while Chief Akpufuoma Pemu was elected by the other faction.
“This is a recipe for disaster,” said a party chieftain who preferred anonymity. How can we expect to win elections when we can’t even conduct a simple congress without controversy? I don’t know who to acknowledge as my party chairman at the moment.”
Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and the state party leadership are expected to intervene in the crisis to prevent further damage to the party’s reputation.
As the crisis deepens, party members were calling for urgent intervention to resolve the issue.
“This is a test of leadership,” said a party stakeholder. “If we can’t resolve this crisis, how can we expect to lead the state?”
The Sapele PDP chapter has been plagued by internal conflicts in recent times, with various factions vying for control of the party.
“This is not the first time we are experiencing this kind of crisis,” said a party elder. “But this one is particularly worrisome because of the implications for the party’s future.”
As the controversy rages, party members are anxiously waiting for a resolution, hoping that the party can be reunited and refocused on its mission to serve the people of Sapele.
“We need a united party to move forward,” said a party member. “We can’t afford to be divided at this critical time.”
The leadership crisis rocking the Ebonyi State chapter of the Labour Party has taken on another dimension. The party has been in crisis since the 2023 general elections.
Two factions, one loyal to Splendour Oko Eze, the 2023 governorship candidate of the party and the other to former Minister of State for Health, Chief Fidelis Nwankwo, have been at war over the control of the party in the state.
The crisis persisted last weekend when the Nwankwo faction declared the former Minister of State for Health the leader of the Labour Party in the state.
This is contained in a communiqué signed by some leaders of the party who are loyal to Nwankwo. The communiqué was signed by Chief Linus Okorie, Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, and Chief Emmanuel Nwobia.
But the Splendour Eze faction said Eze remains the state leader of the Labour Party in the state.
In a statement signed by Comrade Igiri Innocent, the chairman of the State Transition Committee, Labour Party in Ebonyi State, the faction said Nwankwo was too old to be the leader of the Labour Party in Ebonyi.
“We have the mandate of the people to inform the general public that the Labour Party Ebonyi State chapter will never accept Fidelis Nwankwo as the leader of the Labour Party in the state, as being proposed by some notorious political game hijackers, for very bad, obvious reasons.
“Just to mention a few, Fidelis Nwankwo is too old and belongs to the old system, which the youths are seeking to change through Mr. Peter Obi.
“Secondly, Fidelis Nwankwo, whom the hijackers are projecting to be the leader, has forgotten that the person who brought him to the Labour Party is our leader, Comrade Splendour Oko Eze.
“We, therefore, make bold to inform the general public that the leader of the Labour Party in Ebonyi State is no other person but Comrade Splendour Oko Eze, the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the party in Ebonyi State.
“Just as Mr. Peter Obi, by virtue of his being the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, is today the leader of the party in the entire nation, so is Splendour Oko Eze.
“Anyone who wishes to be our leader in the state should first of all go and remove Splendour Oko Eze from being the 2023 guber candidate, then he can aspire to lead,” the faction said.
