Twitter influencer and cryptocurrency expert, Ajebo Danny has stirred controversy with his recent remarks about prayer, night vigil and wealth generation.
In a trending video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the young entrepreneur dismissed the notion that attending night vigils and praying could result in greater financial success than his work ethic and strategies.
“It is not possible; your night vigil and prayer cannot outwork me, who stays up all night. Go to your night vigil for 30 days and see how much I would make in the same 30 days,” Danny asserted.
The influencer emphasized the role of relentless effort and strategic decision-making in his achievements.
He added, “You can’t out-brain my hard work. I’m not even up to 30, but I have properties everywhere in the world. I sold some of my properties in Lagos and bought some in Dubai so I can be earning in foreign currency.”
Danny’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some users applauded his emphasis on hard work and financial intelligence, others criticized him for downplaying the role of faith and spirituality in success.
Ajebo Danny who is known for his bold statements about religion as a scam and that God does not exist has stirred contrasting perspectives between faith and effort in achieving success.

Pensioners in Abia State under the aegis of Abia Pensioners Forum have ended a three-day praying and fasting to seek the face of God over their entitlement which were allegedly not paid by the state government.
The Pensioners, who held their praying and fasting in Umuahia this week, said that they interceded for the payment of their gratuites and arrears of pensions.
The Coordinator of the Abia Pensioners Forum, Mr Okey Kanu who spoke to the press after the religious event, said that the forum is a pressure group, which according to him, has been leading the crusade to see that the State government rescinded the Memoranda of Agreement it signed with Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) concerning their gratuities and arrears of pensions.
Kanu, who is a lawyer, also cited the recent statement where the leadership of the NUP in Abia State denied signing off their gratuities, noting that the statement by the NUP executives has further justified the earlier position of the Abia Pensioners Forum.
“This meeting is particularly necessary because our state NUP Exco has denied entering into any agreement with the Government to forfeit our arrears of pension, especially gratuity,” Kanu said.
Preaching at the event, a priest, Pastor Success Obinya of City Libration Centre, urged the retirees to trust in God for their prayers to be answered.
Prophet Tomi Arayomi, founder of RIG Nation comes under fire after revealing a dire prophecy about Nigeria, warning of an impending famine and humanitarian crisis.
In a tweet shared on X (formerly Twitter) on November 16, the US-based cleric urged Nigerians to pray fervently for the nation.
Prophet Tomi emphasized the need for prayers to avert what he described as an “amnesty emergency” and a widespread humanitarian crisis in Nigeria come 2025.
The prophet added a significant note about the year 2025, stating that it would mark the beginning of a “new clock” for Nigeria, one that would spark cries for help and reform.
“Pray for Nigeria, I see famine on its horizon. I see its farmers weeping. This will be a shaking for an awakening. Pray against an amnesty emergency and a humanitarian crisis. 2025 a new clock will start in Nigeria, one that will spark a cry for help and reform,” he wrote.
The prophecy has sparked conversations on social media, with many calling for collective prayers while others condemned the preacher for stating the obvious.
majorlouwe reacted: “You can’t keep doing the same things and expect different results …we have prayed and prophesied for years till now no improvement… we are dropping religion for good …its fake and it’s not working for us.”
akin_dominion wrote: “They don’t believe in prophecy, neither believe in prayers in Nigeria anymore. They’re all economists now. “But, as for me and my house, we shall pray, and the Lord shall show us mercy.”
AjeboDanny penned: “What glasses did you wear when you were seeing this boss? Did you see it in coloured or black and white?”
Tinaabold stated: “You didn’t see anything. Pastors or religious pundits should stop this rubbish.bWe all know the trajectory the economy is tilting to. It’s the reality so don’t say you ‘see.”

“The news making rounds in some conventional and social media platforms is unfounded and misleading. Consequently, anyone who might have come across the purported news of the joint National Prayer for Nigeria should disregard it as false,” Kukoyi said.

A Federal high court sitting in Kano on Wednesday rejected the All Progressive Congress (APC) application to stop the State Independent Electoral Commission from conducting the local government election.
In a motion ex parte filed on 20th September before Justice Simon Amobeda, by the APC and one Hon. Aminu Aliyu Tiga against the state electoral umpire, Kano State House of Assembly, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and 11 other defendants, the plaintiffs urged the court to grant interim injunction to stop the conduct of the council election across the 44 LGAs.
The plaintiffs also sought the leave of the court for interim injunction directing all parties to maintain status quo and for the electoral body particularly to stay further actions regarding the preparation for the conduct of the poll in Kano, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
APC had further asked the court to grant the leave to the bailiff of the court to service KANSIEC and State Assembly and two other defendants with all the processes in the suit through any staff or officer at the office of the Attorney General of the state.
Responding to the APC prayers, Justice Amobeda declined to grant the interim injunction.
The court however granted APC to put KANSIEC and other defendants on notice of all processes.
It also ordered hearing for the substantive application to five days beginning from the date of service of the originating process and order of the court to the defendants.
The Presiding Judge adjourned the hearing to 4th October, 2024 with commitment to accelerate hearing on the matter, accompanied with stern caution to parties against any act that will prejudice the hearing and quick determination of the matter.
Prior to APC’s failure to foil the conduct of the council election, Justice Ado Maaji of the state high court had granted interim injunction restraining APC, PDP, NNPP and 16 other recognized political parties from taking any action that will tamper with the statutory responsibility of KANSIEC on the conduct of the council poll.
As Nigeria faces widespread protests and national unrest, a call for calm and prayer has emerged from one of the country’s most prominent clerics, the founder and general overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM), Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.
Fufeyin, who took to social media to offer prayers for the peace and stability of the nation, according to a video that has quickly gained traction online, was seen praying fervently for all Nigerians, including both the protesters and the President Bola Tinubu administration.

“Nigeria is stepping into greatness and economic stability,” declared Prophet Fufeyin in the video, expressing a vision of hope and a bright future for the country.
His call for prayer and unity comes at a critical time, as the nation confronts a range of deep-seated issues that have fueled public dissatisfaction and protests.
Prophet Fufeyin’s message is not limited to one side of the conflict but seeks to bridge the divides between different groups. He urged all stakeholders—including protesters and government officials—to come together in dialogue and begin a journey of national healing and restoration. This inclusive approach, which prays for both the people and the government, underscores the Prophet’s understanding of the complexities facing the nation.
The reactions on social media have been overwhelmingly supportive, with many Nigerians praising Prophet Fufeyin’s prayers as a much-needed step toward national unity and healing after days of violent protests in some parts of the country. His message is seen by many as an opportunity for the country to heal and move forward, building a future that reflects the collective hopes and dreams of its citizens.

The general overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, will lead an interdenominational service on July 6, 2024, where the congregation will pray for Nigeria to overcome its current challenges.
The “Water of Fire” is a yearly programme organised by MFM for Christians to pray for the nation and to receive personal blessings from God.
The programme will be held at the MFM Prayer City, Kilometer 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Ahead of the event, Olukoya said this year’s “Water of Fire” will be different as God is set to tackle what humans have termed as hard and difficult problems.
Olukoya said millions of people have testified to God’s wonder-working power through the yearly Prophetic Water of Fire programme and called on people to attend, especially those who are passing through difficult times.
He stressed that the programme, which is also a means of winning souls for Christ, is for every individual, family, ethnicity, and race, no matter their religious affiliation.
Olukoya asked participants to come with at least three bottles of water on which they would be prayed.
The cleric said, “We have recorded mind-blowing testimonies that defy science and human efforts through this programme. The programme has constantly brought forth undiluted miracles through the wonder-working power of God, and this year’s own will be awesome. We are not selling ‘special water’ for the programme, come with your water, and God’s power that parted the Red Sea for miracles, signs and wonders will enter into it after prayers, hence becoming ‘Water of Fire’. “
Olukoya also called on those who love Nigeria and other nations of the world to attend this year’s Water of Fire programme, as special prayer sessions will be held for a divine turnaround in the country and other nations of the world.
There will be free transportation to take people to Prayer City and bring them back to their various destinations.
