BoxLunch Company Speaks Out After Disney Influencer Dominique Brown’s Death at Its Event
A Royal Caribbean cruise passenger died while aboard a ship headed to Mexico.
Michael Virgil passed away on Dec. 13, one hour after being detained by security for allegedly assaulting crew members on the Navigator of the Seas, his family told Fox 11 Los Angeles Dec. 17.
In a cellphone video obtained by the outlet, the 35-year-old was seen attempting to kick down a door in the hallway of the cruise ship before a team of four security men arrived to detain him with zip ties, handcuffs and towels.
Passengers also told the outlet that he threatened his fellow travelers at one point and allegedly attempted to attack two crew members.
“The gentlemen that was drunk said he was going to kill us,” Christipher Mikhail—who was aboard the ship with his wife and family to celebrate his wedding anniversary—told FOX 11 Los Angeles Dec. 17. “He started chasing us down the hallway.”
“The crew member that I was running with locked himself in one of the towel rooms,” he continued. “I was scared because I was stuck in this hallway. Everyone else was hiding.”
