Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) is set to host the 7th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) to foster economic growth in Nigeria.
The summit, themed “New Vistas, New Aspirations, New Visions: The Diaspora and National Development,” aims to unlock new opportunities for Nigeria’s development through diaspora engagement.
The NDIS which will be hosted from November 5th to 7th, 2024, at the State House Conference Hall in Abuja, has consistently provided a vibrant platform for the Nigerian diaspora to contribute significantly to the country’s economic development.
Since its inception in 2018, the summit has facilitated interactions between diaspora investors, local entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and start-ups across various sectors.
This year’s summit promises to be exceptional, featuring insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and actionable strategies to harness the potential of the Nigerian diaspora. Key sectors to be focused on include Finance, ICT, Fintech, Creative Industries, Sports and Entertainment, Agribusiness, Healthcare, Education, Real Estate and Infrastructure, and Manufacturing and Mining.
Speakers include Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Mr. John Olajide, with prominent personalities from the entertainment industry also in attendance. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will serve as the special guest of honor.
The summit’s impact extends beyond facilitating investments, as it also promotes knowledge sharing, skills transfer, and collaboration among stakeholders. Notable successes from past summits include Kilimo Nishati’s public-private partnership with Ondo State to revitalize dairy operations. Additionally, The Royal School of Education Therapy received ₦2 million in donations and grants, while Quebec Food Processing Industrial Parks Ltd secured a ₦462 million equity financing partnership. Furthermore, Adubiaro Farms attracted nearly ₦50 million in investments, and iSTEMLabs Africa is exploring a software engineering campus partnership with NiDCOM.
Registration and accreditation will take place at the Yaradua event centre on November 2nd and 4th, 2024. Interested participants can register on the official website.
NiDCOM Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, expressed gratitude to sponsors, including the Nigeria National Petroleum Limited (NNPCL), and long-term partners for their unwavering support.

To ensure the summit’s success, NiDCOM has collaborated with key stakeholders, including the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa, the Nigeria Investment Promotion Council, and the Nigeria National Assembly.
