Copper Queens assistant coach Florence Mwila has been awarded a FIFA scholarship to pursue a CAF A Diploma Coaching course.
The opportunity is part of the FIFA Women’s Development Programme under the Coach Education Scholarship initiative.
Mwila is currently in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, where the Liberia Football Association (LFA) is conducting the coaching course for the first time in 10 years.
She joins three other international coaches participating in the intensive program, which is being held at the LFA’s headquarters at the National Sports Stadium.
The scholarship underscores FIFA’s commitment to prioritizing and investing in the women’s game and empowering women and girls through football.
The collaboration between FIFA and the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) aligns with the Association’s goals of developing women’s football in Zambia by providing advanced coaching opportunities to increase girls’ and women’s access to the beautiful game.
