MTN Nigeria has unveiled its first fully digitised 5G-powered experience centre in Abuja, marking a significant step in the telecommunications giant’s efforts to enhance customer service through cutting-edge technology.
Located at its regional office in Maitama, the innovative centre offers a range of digital services and showcases MTN’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to meet the growing demands of its users.
During the unveiling ceremony, Chief Customer and Experience Officer, Ogunwa Nwoye, emphasised that the centre represents MTN’s dedication to transforming customer experiences through technology.
“Today we launched the first digital experience centre in Nigeria by any telecom firm. One of our goals was to bring a digital immersive experience as close as possible to our customers and businesses,” Nwoye explained.
She further highlighted how MTN’s investments in technology, from 3G and 4G to now 5G, can unlock Nigeria’s full potential.
“We believe Nigeria’s full potential can be reached through technology. That’s why we were the first to launch 3G, then 4G, and now 5G,” she added.
Designed with local relevance, the centre allows customers to access various services independently using digital kiosks, from purchasing SIM cards, airtime, and data plans to exploring smart home solutions and 5G-enabled devices.
“This isn’t just about data and devices; it’s about empowering people to live a breathtaking life. We want Nigerians to meet their full potential and unleash their creativity, as technology is the driving force behind their imagination,” Nwoye stated.
The centre’s 5G-enabled services are expected to drive digital transformation across sectors, a vision reiterated by the Regional General Manager, North MTN Nigeria, ThankGod Otorkpa.
He noted, “Even though we are going digital, we must not forget the human connection… helping us to take a glance together into the future.”
The launch event drew select customers, brand influencers, and industry experts eager to witness the vast potential of 5G and its impact on everyday life.
