All preparations are complete for the highly anticipated international showdown between Zambia and Malawi Legends scheduled for Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
The two teams met briefly during their final training sessions setting the stage for an exciting encounter. Later, an official pre-match press briefing was held at Bingu National Stadium, providing insights into the upcoming match.
During the briefing, Zambia’s delegation leader, Crispin Kamuna, who also serves as FAZ Eastern Province chairperson, presented a Chipolopolo replica to Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera as a gesture of goodwill.
Minister of Sport Uchizi Mkandawire collected the jersey on President Chakwera’s behalf.
Mkandawire commended the two teams ahead of the match and pledged support to the legends initiative.
The match which is a return fixture will be played at 15:00 hours at Bingu National Stadium.
In the home match played in Chipata at David Kaunda Stadium, the Zambian greats beat their Malawi counterparts 2-1.
