Fortune FC and Medina United top the standings in the men’s First Division League Vista Bank-Baluwo Offcial Partner and Second Division League competitions as the league takes a break for the festive period.
Fortune are on top in League One following their impressive start to the 2024/25 season. The Petroleum Boys won three and drew one of their fixtures, accumulating 10 points.
They’re closely followed by Brikama United and newcomers Hart FC, who are both with eight points each. Team Rhino occupied fourth place with seven points, followed by defending champions Real de Banjul, Steve Biko, GAF, and BST Galaxy FC, all with six points.
Bombada and Falcons followed with five points at ninth and 10th places, respectively. Marimoo Pakfood, Hawks FC, and The Gambian Dutch Lions FC are all levelled on fourth points. TMT FC is on two points, Greater Tomorrow, on a solitary point, and Banjul United at the bottom with zero point but have a game less against Marimoo.
Matches will resume in the first division on Friday, 3rd January 2025.Elsewhere, in division two, Medina United and Kanifing East are levelled on 10 points and occupied first and second positions, respectively.
Elite United is a solitary point behind in third place, while Unique Global and Samger are both on six points.
Baalor Sarr, Suwo Kono Wagadu, and Wallidan also have six points. Latrikunda United, Gunjur United, and Essau United are also levelled on five points, followed by RS Tallinding on four points, Colley Stars are on three points, Serekunda FC and Waa Banjul with two points, GPA and Serekunda United with a solitary point complete the 18-team league.
