A notorious bandit leader, Na’ballo, who was known for his close ties with fellow bandit kingpin Ado Aleiro, has been killed during a violent internal clash among bandit factions in Zamfara State.
Na’ballo, a high-profile figure in the criminal underworld, was reportedly based in the eastern Takulawa area of Tsafe Local Government, where he orchestrated several criminal activities terrorizing communities.
This was disclosed on Tuesday in a statement by Zagazola Makama on his X.
According to intelligence sources who spoke to Zagazola Makama, Na’ballo met his demise in an internal confrontation between rival bandit groups in the region.
In a separate operation, suspected Fulani bandits launched an attack on a motorist traveling between Kucheri and Magazu villages in Zamfara.
The motorist narrowly escaped the attack and alerted the military about the ongoing threat.
Acting swiftly on the intelligence, troops were mobilized to the area and engaged the bandits in a coordinated military operation. The operation resulted in the neutralization of all eight bandits involved in the attack.
“No civilians were harmed during the military intervention,” he added.
