Celtic have reached an agreement to sign Jeffrey Schlupp on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season, multiple sources have confirmed. The 32-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, whose contract at Selhurst Park expires this summer, is currently undergoing a medical in London before finalizing the move.
Schlupp, a versatile player capable of operating in midfield and at left-back, brings a wealth of Premier League experience to Brendan Rodgers’ squad as Celtic look to bolster their options for the title run-in. With over 200 appearances for Palace since joining from Leicester City in 2017, Schlupp’s ability to contribute both defensively and offensively is expected to be a valuable asset for the Scottish champions.
Celtic have been in the market for reinforcements following injuries in key areas, and Schlupp’s arrival provides much-needed depth. His physicality, pace, and ability to transition quickly between defense and attack align well with Rodgers’ playing philosophy.
While final contract details are being ironed out, the move is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours. Should all go as planned, Schlupp could be in contention to make his Celtic debut in their upcoming Scottish Premiership clash.
