A heart-wrenching encounter goes viral after a content creator stumbled on a helpless and malnourished woman who was lonely and had nothing to eat for months.
In a now-deleted video, @streetmanofgod on TikTok recounted how he was visiting a friend and heard a sudden disturbing cry.
According to his account, she heard faint cries of hunger coming from a nearby room. Concerned by the voice, he requested to see the person in distress. What he found shocked and saddened his heart.
“I came to visit a friend and hear someone crying in a room near by that she is hungry and I demanded to see her, what I saw brought out tears in my eyes,” he captioned the video.
The details surrounding the incident are yet to be fully clarified, but the post has struck a chord with many online, leading to calls for help and intervention.
In a follow-up video, the woman was provided with food and was taken to the hospital for medical attention. Without going into details, he revealed his reason for taking the initial video down over concerns from the woman’s family.
“The first uncle should have politely stated the reason he doesn’t want us to help is clear now that they know that the place is not God and doesn’t want the world to see but let love lead,” he stated.
Well-meaning Nigerians have since begun contributing money to support the woman’s medical situation and change her life.
