Winfrida Gerald was the shining star of the CAF U-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament 2025 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The JKT Queens Star who was instrumental in her side’s 2-1 victory in the final scooped the award with eight (8) goals in total to her name, continuing with the rich vein of form that she displayed for Queens at the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.
“I am very happy because we practiced enough and the coach emphasized the benefits of winning this game and this tournament as it will expose our talent, so what I can say is that I promise our fans we will continue to practice towards fulfilling our dreams of becoming good football players,” said Gerald.
Gerald’s impressive rise in Tanzania’s women’s football continues to be evident after making a name for herself at the 2022 CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals in Durban South Africa three years ago.
