Richard Gere and his family are planting roots across the pond.
The Pretty Woman actor’s wife, Alejandra Silva, shared a peek into their life in Madrid, where the couple recently moved with their two sons, Alexander, 5, and James, 4.
“As Jamie says, ‘Mom, Mom, today is the first day of Christmas!” Alejandra wrote, in Spanish, under a photo of her sons decorating a Christmas tree on Instagram Nov. 30. “How I like their energy, their innocence. This year finally, Christmas in Spain!”
In the festive photo, one of their sons is hanging an ornament on the tree surrounded by large Santa statues while their other son digs through a bin of decorations.
Richard, 75—who also shares Homer, 24, with ex-wife Carey Lowell—recently explained the couple’s decision to move from the US to Spain.
“My wife is Spanish and—is this a problem for anybody out there?” the actor joked on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Nov. 20 as members of the audience gasped. “Of course I’ll be back!”
