AmaZulu secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Royal AM at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
The win saw AmaZulu rise to 11th in the league standings, while Royal AM remained 13th. AmaZulu’s Hendrick Ekstein opened the scoring in the 37th minute, capitalising on a well-timed assist from Riaan Human.
Shortly after the break, Michael Mbanjwa doubled their lead in the 48th minute with a strike set up by Etiosa Ighodaro.
Royal AM responded in the 78th minute, with Lesedi Mashiane reducing the deficit, but it wasn’t enough to deny AmaZulu the victory.
