Kate Flannery is giving a Dundie for hotness to John Krasinski.
The Office alum couldn’t help but gush over the fact that her former costar was named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024, despite some folks around the internet being less than enthused about the choice. But as she joked, the magazine “is finally catching up.”
“Let me tell you something, this is so long overdue,” Kate told TMZ in an interview published Nov. 13. “John Krasinski’s gotten robbed every year since 2005 in my opinion. It’s so time.”
Especially because Kate, 60, can’t get over how jacked John has gotten since The Office ended, particularly for his role as Jack Ryan.
“He is so hot, my eyes are melting every time I see him in person,” she said, adding that whenever she reunites with John and his wife of 14 years Emily Blunt together, they “are so good looking, I have to squint.”
“I could tell this guy was flirting with me,” Brittany told host Alex Baskin. “I was always flirting with him. He is very much my type, and just kind of flirting through DMs, and one time I was just like, ‘Come over,’ slip in the DM. I always thought he was hot. And, also, I was just so mad at Jax.”
Plus, the Bravolebrity noted she didn’t break either of the two rules she and Jax agreed upon as they navigate their breakup.
“What we had said was, ‘Nobody around Cruz and nobody at our home that we own together,” she explained. “Those were the two rules. I don’t know if he had anyone around Cruz, but he had people at my house. I caught them both times. I caught him twice!”
Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has defended teammate Kylian Mbappe while urging the club’s fans not to doubt the attacker.
Modric spoke after Mbappe failed to score a goal in Real Madrid’s LaLiga 4-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday.
Mbappe has failed to score a goal for Real Madrid in his last four matches for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
As a result, the France international has faced criticism from fans over his display for the Los Blancos.
Speaking after Real Madrid defeated Osasuna, Modric insisted that Mbappe will help the club in the future.
“Don’t doubt Mbappé. I’m sure he will help us a lot in the future,” Modric said at his post-match interview.
“He will show everyone why he has been and still is one of the best players in the world”.
Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has defended the inclusion of some players in the squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen handed invitation to unfamiliar faces, Gabriel Osho and Victor Collins for both games.
Real Sociedad striker, Umar Sadiq has also been recalled to the team despite his struggles at the Laliga club.
Eguavoen again opted against inviting the duo of Tolu Arokodare and Cyriel Dessers despite their impressive club form.
Ogunmodede, however, said the gaffer did a thorough job before coming up with the list.
“The head coach has come up with a list, discussed with us as his back-room staff and I think they are competent and capable to represent the country,” he told NFF TV.
“They are all familiar faces apart from Gabriel Osho who is new in the setup now because he had an injury and had to undergo surgery.
“Sadiq had been in the team for a while and was also out due to injury now he’s back and the coach felt we needed a left foot centre back and presently in the league, we have Victor Collins that has proven his worth.”
The Presidency on Thursday allayed fears that the Compressed Natural Gas, CNG initiative of President Bola Tinubu’s government could be dangerous.
This followed the trending news of the Malaysian government to phase out the use of Natural Gas Vehicles, NGV in that country following safety concerns.
DAILY POST reports that Loke Siew Fook, Malaysian Minister of Transport, who announced the plan while addressing journalists, said CNG-powered vehicles would no longer be registered or used in the country from July 1, 2025, due to safety concerns.
However, the media aide to President Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga said in a statement on Thursday that the Malaysian issue is different.
He said the concern raised by the Malaysian government speaks more to the safety of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG and not the safety of CNG.
According to Onanuga, “NGV covers both CNG and LPG. Nigeria in its transition has adopted CNG ONLY not both because of LPG’s valid safety and cost concerns
“Malaysia basically had an unsuccessful transition away from costly and dirtier petrol and diesel. Conversion of 45,000 vehicles in 15 years (less than 0.2%) is not enviable unlike India, China, Iran and Egypt.
“The end of 15 year CNG tank cycle means they need to replace tanks and it was easier/cheaper to scrap their program and continue with their petrol than to do so if they had not built tank manufacturing capacity which Nigeria is already developing in year one”.
July 2018: Different Directions
By May 2017, Payne had taken to calling Cole his “wife,” sharing how he never predicted the story of his life would take him here.
“Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world, and she’s absolutely amazing,” he told the U.K.’s Rollacoaster magazine. “She’s been my dream girl since I was younger. She’s so ace.”
But by the following summer, their brief romance had folded.
“Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways,” he wrote in an X missive July 1, 2018. “It’s been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”
Cole responded with a near-identical message.
As for the rumors her mom came between them, “I can assure you she has absolutely nothing to do with any of it,” she shared on X. I am a grown woman who is capable of dealing with my own life. She is a soft and kind woman who doesn’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing whatsoever to do with her.”
Instead their issues were of the fairly common variety.
“You know, we have our struggles,” he confessed to ES magazine months earlier. “I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is.”
As he gets ready to put additional pressure on the Manchester United manager this weekend, Brentford manager Thomas Frank maintains that Erik ten Hag has received “too much” criticism.
After United’s worst start to a top-flight season since 1989–1990, Ten Hag is fighting to stay in his job.
Frank’s team is three places ahead of United, who are wallowing in 14th position after winning only two of their first seven league games, when they visit Old Trafford on Saturday.
Ten Hag would be closer to the chopping block should Brentford lose, but Frank believes the Dutchman isn’t worthy of this kind of rigorous examination.
“It’s incredible how much scrutiny he’s had to face,” Frank said.
“As a head coach, I acknowledge how it feels to be in a situation like this.
” I think the criticism is too much.
“He’s clearly a good coach, he’s won two trophies in two seasons.
“But I understand how it is: if the team wins, the head coach is absolutely fantastic; if the team loses, the head coach is absolutely s**t! Whereas it’s probably somewhere in between.
“It’s never only the head coach, or the players, or the fans, or the board, it’s a combination of all of these things.”
Frank stated that despite United’s five games without a victory across all competitions, he will not be concerned about their recent performance.
“I’ve experienced it too many times in my career: we face a team that has lost three games in a row but they come out absolutely flying,” he said.
“I don’t really pay too much attention to form. I believe that we can go anywhere and beat any team, but I’m also aware that, when we go to Old Trafford to face Manchester United – a massive club with top players – they are favourites.
“But we need to go there with the approach and mindset that we can win.”
The Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mrs Omowumi Isaac, appeared before the State Assembly on Thursday to defend and explain the performance of the 2024 appropriation law signed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Isaac, who appeared at the Assembly, told the lawmakers that she did not shun the lawmakers’ invitation but explained that she was out of the state for an official assignment.
Isaac explained to the lawmakers the performance of the state budget, justifying the need for a supplementary budget
While speaking, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Strategic Communications, Mr Allen Sowore, said the commissioner did not shun the Assembly as expressed in several media but was out of the state for an official assignment.
The Commissioner for Justice, Mr Kayode Ajulo SAN, defended the absence of his counterpart in the finance ministry, saying she did not shun the invitation but was out of the state for official duties
Sowore, in a statement, commended the intervention of Ajulo as the legal officer of the state in defending the finance commissioner.
He said Ajulo performed his duty as the chief legal adviser to the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary as well
oversees the dispensation of justice irrespective of status or political affiliation.
Pointedly, Sowore said the Commissioner of Finance did not shun or reject the Assembly’s invitation. She was engaged in a state assignment outside the state.
According to him, “Upon her return, and as pontificated by the Attorney General, Mrs. Isaac appeared before the House of Assembly on Thursday in response to the summons. The lawmakers met with her on Tuesday during a parliamentary session at the Assembly complex in Akure.
“Commendably, the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Chief Olatunji Oshati, addressed journalists shortly after the meeting, expressing the lawmakers’ satisfaction with her responses.
“He explained that the House deemed it necessary to invite the Commissioner to clarify aspects of the amended 2024 appropriation law.
“Oshati further emphasised that the three arms of government would continue to work in harmony for the overall development of the state.
“After all, the synergy and cooperation among the three arms of government are for the benefit of the citizens. The House noted that her responses and analysis were thorough in addressing the grey areas of the 2024 appropriation law.
“During this brief yet challenging period, the Attorney General, Dr Kayode Ajulo, SAN, and the Finance Commissioner, Mrs Omowumi Isaac, a Chartered Accountant, have risen to the occasion and demonstrated exemplary leadership.
“It is often said that loyalty in politics must be unwavering and absolute. Therefore, those within the system who seek to subvert or sabotage it for personal gain should consider the consequences of their actions.
“What should be paramount now is ensuring the success and triumph of the Lucky Aiyedatiwa administration, as it remains committed to improving the lives of the people and setting a lasting standard for the future.”
It will be recalled that the House of Assembly last Thursday threatened to issue a warrant of arrest if the commissioner refused to honour its invitation to explain the financial transactions of the state.

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), has addressed critics questioning the church’s decision to retire two of its senior leaders.
The controversy arose after reports surfaced that Bishops Thomas Aremu and David Abioye, both longtime servants of the ministry, would be retiring. Aremu has served for three decades, while Abioye has dedicated four decades to the church.
Speaking during Bishop Aremu’s valedictory service at Winners Chapel, Orita Bashorun, on Tuesday, Oyedepo emphasised that the decision aligns with the church’s operational guidelines, known as ‘The Mandate’, which functions as its constitution.
He explained that the church’s administrative policy, established in 1998, was revised in 2001, and The Mandate was again updated in 2024. One of the key changes in the revised guidelines is the adjustment of the retirement age from 60 to 55.
While Oyedepo retains the right to serve for life as the church’s founder, future leaders will be limited to serving one or two terms of seven years, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.
In his sermon, Oyedepo advised critics to focus on their own lives instead of meddling in the church’s internal affairs.
“My advice to commentators is to study to be quiet and mind your business. It is wisdom to learn what is working and find out what makes it work. Everything works here,” he said.
He encouraged Bishop Aremu to keep God at the center of his life, warning that taking a spiritual break is risky. Drawing from Genesis 49:26, Oyedepo reminded the congregation that no one inherits from a teacher or pastor and urged Aremu to continue pursuing growth in his spiritual journey.
Aremu, in response, affirmed his commitment to the church, stating that he has no intention of establishing his own ministry after retirement. “I don’t have a church, and I cannot have a church because God has not infused me with the capacity to do so. This is my church,” Aremu declared.
As the last surviving bishop among those consecrated in 1999 at the Garden of Faith in Kaduna, Aremu’s transition marks a significant moment for the church. Bishop Abioye’s farewell service is scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024, at Winners Chapel in Durumi, Abuja.

Kat and Jason first announced the end of their months-long relationship on Oct. 12, reassuring fans that their split was amicable.
“I am sad to share that Kat and I are no longer together,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “It’s fair to say that I love hard with all my heart and fall fast. Sometimes in life, that works out and other times it doesn’t. This time, it didn’t.”
Kat also addressed the chatter around their split on her own social media page.
“With two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the right time to talk about my personal life” she said in a video posted to her Instagram story, referencing Hurricane and Hurricane Milton in Florida. “But a lot of you have already asked and yes, Jason and I have broken up.”
“It just didn’t work,” she added. “It’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes, it’s so easy to think when a relationship ends that the love was wasted but love is never wasted.”
Barely seven day to the Edo State Governorship election, the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says it would defend the votes of its candidate with its blood against rigging by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to report the acting national chairman of the party, Ambassador Umar Damagun gave the warning on Saturday at the grand finale of the party’s campaign rally in Benin City.
Damagun warned INEC against announcing the results in the midnight, threatening that they would defend the results with their blood.
According to him, “please, I enjoin you that we don’t want that midnight results announcement. We will be vigilant, on top of the situation, and we will make sure that that doesn’t happen.
“We are issuing this and it is not a threat, but we are very very serious and we will defend our votes with our blood and everything.”.
The Acting National Chairman of the party also called on security agencies to be neutral and give all political parties a level playing field.
He noted that they would submit themselves for the security agencies to be killed and arrested if they worked in favour of any political party.
“I want to use this opportunity to tell our security agencies that you are being paid with taxpayers’ money. You have to accord the values for which you are created. Protect Nigerians, ensure justice and make sure that everyone is safe.
“A situation whereby you decide to take part in favour of any political party, let me make this very clear that you have to kill or arrest all of us if you have to take this state.
“We will be here and be with our party, and we are also ready to give our vote and blood for our right. I want to make this very clear, you may have the guns but we have God”, he stated.
While urging Nigerians to be concerned with the next week’s governorship election in the state, he opined that it would be a test for the nation’s democracy.
He noted that the party would resist INEC if it failed to conduct a credible, fair and free election, noting that any contrary would lead to anarchy.
Earlier, the Chairman, National Campaign Council, Edo 2024 Governorship Election , Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri warned against any compromise of the electoral process.
Fintiri also vowed that nobody can intimidate the party, as well as rig the election against their candidate, Barrister Asue Ighodalo.
The Governor of Adamawa State, who described Edo as the cradle of civilization and intellectualism in the country, urged the electorate to come out en masse to vote for the party’s governorship candidate.
Speaking shortly after being presented with the flag of the party, Asue Ighodalo, the governorship candidate of the party, promised to build and consolidate on the achievements of Governor Obaseki when elected.
Ighodalo added that like the governors of the party, he would fight battles to win the governorship election.
“All our governors, that is the PDP governors, fight battles to win their elections. None of them get it easy to win their elections.
“That shows that the PDP is a party of courage. That is the same battle that Osarodion Ogie and I will fight to win the election”, he added.
The president of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, has staunchly defended the Dangote Refinery, responding to growing concerns about low quality products and potential monopolistic tendency.
In a statement by Adesina, shared by billionaire businessman Femi Otedola on Tuesday via X, the AfDB boss was reacting to the ongoing controversy surrounding Dangote Refinery’s operations, noting that the recent outburst by the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) chief executive, Adamu Farouk, against the Refinery and its founder was shocking and creating bad waves for Nigeria globally.
Adesina highlighted that monopolies often arise in industries with significant entry barriers or high capital costs, such as railways and large-scale refineries. He questioned the feasibility of competing with Dangote’s refinery, given the immense investment required.
“Monopoly often exists where there are high barriers to entry or high capital costs,” Adesina stated. “How many individuals or companies can do railways? How many can do refineries of the scale of Dangote Refineries? In a nation that has been importing refined petroleum products for several decades, the abnormal simply became very normal.”
Adesina emphasised the financial and operational challenges of manufacturing in Nigeria, particularly in an environment plagued by policy uncertainties and reversals. He pointed out that no prudent investor would risk a $19.5 billion investment only to be undermined by importers.
“To manufacture is extremely expensive and risky,” he said. “This is even more so in Nigeria, given the very challenging business and economic environment, fraught with policy uncertainties and policy reversals, and where the self-defeating default mode of ‘simply import it’ is always so easily rationalized and chorused to solve any problem.”
Addressing the notion of competition, Adesina argued that it is beneficial for everyone but questioned if Dangote Refineries could be deemed anti-competitive. He posed several questions: “Has Dangote Refineries prevented any other company from setting up refineries? Why have others not done so? How come they have not done so for several decades? Was it Dangote that held them back?”
Adesina further asserted that Dangote Refineries should not be expected to compete with importers of petroleum products. Instead, he urged importers to establish local refineries to foster fair competition within Nigeria.
“We cannot and must not undermine, disparage or kill local industries, talk less of one that is of this scale — a jewel of industrialisation in Nigeria,” Adesina said. “It is more than simply delivering the cheapest product to the market. It is about domestic supply security, driving (and yes, protecting) globally competitive industries, maximizing forward and backward linkages in the local economy, job creation, reducing forex expenses and shoring up the Naira.”
Adesina concluded with a caution against the negative implications of disparaging Dangote, highlighting the potential deterrent effect on future investments in Nigeria. “This whole disparaging of Dangote is uncalled for. It is self-defeating. And it is very bad for Nigeria. Who will want to come and invest in a country that disparages and undermines its own largest investor? Investing is tough. Pettiness is easy. It sadly sends a signal that the price for sacrificing for Nigeria is to get sacrificed.”
In defence of Senator Monday Okpebholo, a former Edo State governor and APC stalwart, Senator Adams Oshiomole, has berated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in State, insisting that Okpebholo is the people’s choice for the upcoming September 21 governorship election.
Oshiomhole’s comment comes amid growing criticism and political tension in Edo State ahead of the governorship election.
Oshiomole said: “Monday Okpebholo is the man the people want,” adding that the ruling party in the State should accept the reality.
The statement comes in response to the PDP’s ongoing criticisms of Okpebholo’s candidacy, questioning his suitability and the legitimacy of his support.
Oshiomole, known for his direct and unapologetic style, did not mince words in his endorsement of Okpebholo.
“Monday Okpebholo has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the people he represents. His record speaks volumes, and the overwhelming support he has garnered is a testament to his effectiveness and dedication. The people have spoken, and it’s clear they stand with Okpebholo,” Oshiomole stated.
He went on to challenge the opposition’s narrative, asserting that their criticisms were unfounded and merely a reflection of their political frustration and jealousy.
“The PDP needs to come to terms with the reality that Monday Okpebholo is the chosen representative of the people. Rather than resorting to baseless accusations and attempts to undermine his credibility, even threatening his life and security, they should respect the democratic process and the will of the electorate,” he added.
For his part, Senator Okpebholo, who represents Edo Central in the Senate, and has been a vocal advocate for various social and infrastructural projects in his constituency, expressed gratitude for Oshiomole’s support. “I am honoured to have the endorsement of a leader like Adams Oshiomhole and now the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Phillip Shaibu. My commitment to the people remains unwavering, and I will continue to work tirelessly to fulfill their trust and expectations,” Okpebholo remarked.
The political landscape in Edo State has been highly charged, with both the APC and PDP competiting for dominance.
Okpebholo’s candidacy has been a focal point of contention, highlighting the broader struggle for political influence in the state.
Oshiomhole’s defence of Okpebholo underscored the APC’s confidence in his leadership and their belief in his ability to deliver on his promises. It also serves as a call to action for Okpebholo’s supporters to rally behind him in the face of opposition.
