John Stamos will always be a hand for Dave Coulier to hold onto.
That’s the pledge he made to his Full House costar, who revealed his stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis during the Nov. 13 episode of Today.
“My brother from day 1,” John wrote on Instagram alongside a photo carousel of the two over the years. “Love you @dcoulier and I’ll be by your side through it all.”
In fact, Dave, 65, knew he wanted to share cancer diagnosis with his Full House family early on, posting his health news in a group chat with John and several of their castmates—including Andrea Barber, Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin and Scott Weinger, as well as series creator Jeff Franklin—before sharing the news publicly.
“I didn’t want them to hear it from someone else,” Dave told People, “so I sent a text message out.”
Noting the outpouring of support he received, the actor couldn’t help but reflect on the group’s decades-long bond.
