Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s impending move to Paris Saint-Germain has sparked reactions in Naples, where the Georgian winger left a lasting impression.
As the 23-year-old undergoes his medical and prepares to finalize his contract with PSG, Napoli coach Antonio Conte addressed the departure in a press conference.
“We achieved 47 points with excellent work, but objectively, this is a different team compared to the Scudetto-winning side,” Conte acknowledged. “We’re now without four key players from that team—Osimhen, Kvara, Zielinski, and Kim. People can argue whether we are stronger or weaker, but this is undoubtedly a new Napoli. With Kvara gone, we are a different team from the one that won the Scudetto and even from last season’s squad, which struggled in the league.”
Conte emphasized the importance of integrating the new arrivals: “We need to work hard to ensure the new players adapt quickly. It’s through dedication and teamwork that we’ll compensate for Kvara’s departure. We won’t complain; instead, we’ll focus on rebuilding and moving forward.”
Despite the challenges, Conte remains determined to guide Napoli through this transitional phase and maintain the club’s competitive edge.
